We recently supplied a new fold-down clothesline to a customer in Hornsby on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.
The customer contacted us before placing an order via our online clothesline shop. At her Hornsby property, there was an old “Hills Hoist” rotary clothesline installed in the backyard that she estimated was around 50 years old. She had lived at the property for 20 years and the current washing line location no longer got much sun as mature trees were now shading the area.
The customer sent us photos of a disused area at the side of the house where she wanted a new clothesline installed. The location was perfect as the washing line would receive ample sun from midday to late afternoon all year round.

The customer could fold down the outer section when not in use, giving her wider access down the side of the house. The customer purchased the Woodland Grey colour as this matched the dark grey weatherboards of the house and black fence. While we offer a clothesline installation service, she said her son could install it for her.

The Add-A-Line Austral clothesline has dual folding frames. Both frames may be used independently and both frames fold down.
It is suitable for 1-5 people and comes in a range of colours including Classic Cream, Surfmist and Woodland Grey. Colourbond colours, including Black, Dune, Heritage Green, Monument, Paperbark, Shale Grey Wallaby & White, are available on request.

- Front frame: 90cm deep with 8 lines. Back frame: 60cm deep with 7 lines.
